Hey just got back from India was fantastic soooo much fun amazing!! Even though we only went for a week felt like much longer and we did sooo much stuff. Here is what we did (I did not keep a diary so not completely accurate but still . . .)

Day 1: Flew to India via Abu Dhabi and Muscat (where we found out about the bombing at the Doha Players ) then on to Delhi where it was raining. Got on to The Bus (DC1) with no legroom and drove through India (which is really dirty but very beautiful) up to the mountains. We stopped for lunch where the teachers gave us more details about the bombing, then onwards. Some dude like chucked some Holi at us even though it was like a week early - amazing shot though!! Eventually got to Camp Panther and met Teebee and Brock such a nice place. Ate food  mmmmmmmmmmmm then slept.

Day 2: Good Moorning!! Hahaha wake up call then yoga oooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmm then breakfast and the legendary 'hot chocolate'. After we went for an 'orientation' walk and waded through the Ganga (with boots on - not a good idea!!) but got back to camp and ate food  then learned the basics of rafting YAY!! I love rafting!! After rafting we went to some Hindu festival thing by the Ganga which was . . . interesting then back to camp (and 'facilities') up the narrow winding mountain road in a storm in The Bus (DC1). Ate MORE food  then played Bullshit (or 'NAMIT' as it is now called) . . . good fun.

Day 3: Good Moorning!!  More yoga ooooooooooommmmmmmmmmm then breakfast then The Bus (DC1) then rafting? I think that was it?! The Ganga was freezing by the way made me all numb and shivery Brrrrr (hahaha Fanoola) then to Camp Panther to prepare for trekking (our boots were only just dry - they almost cancelled the camping trip because the storm stopped them rafting our stuff to the campsite - not too many roads in India ) then a 'stimulating' drive on The Bus (DC1) along a 'road' up into the mountains before a nice walk down to the beach (our campsite). Snacks were ready when we got there (and some people ate a LOT of snacks ) then we got firewood and dry grass  for Brock's '1 match fire' then food  - no wait we put up our tents first - then sleep (after NNNNNAAAAAAAMMMIIIITTTT and yoga).

Day 4: Good Moorning!! Man it was cold walking without any shoes on (so I put some on ) some 'hot chocolate' and apparently there had been a leopard walking round the tent the night before (actually it woke me up so i went in search of it but no luck) and 1 tent (and we all know which 1) had spent the previous night like huddling together out of fear!! We rafted across the Ganga - I almost fell in - and so began our 'Great Trek', 21km through the mountains. Most people were tired after about 5 minutes but i was not too bad DESPITE the ROCKS in my BAG (CARMEN!!)!!! It was pretty fun but quite hard and in places the road had collapsed so we had to do a bit of rock climbing (no safety harnesses of course) - scary at the time. Lunch was soooo nice I was soooo hungry then we resumed our walk and after the final killer hill the sight of Pepsi and The Bus greeted us (never have so many people been so glad to see something so uncomfortable) so it was back to DC1 and Camp Panther. We got to watch the 'road' explode on the way back as well - worth the walk no? After a bit of a rest (a very little bit) we went into Rishikesh to go shopping and I bought a few things (presents mostly) but NNNNNNAAAAAMMMIIIIIITTTT kept walking off . On the way back to The Bus we stopped to buy some jewellery, and we took longer than expected (I wonder why, any ideas Carmen?? ) so we were late for the bus. We had to run through the now dark streets of Rishikesh to get back in time (Carmen went barefoot ) but then, we got LOST. After asking some random people and a police guy if they had seen a bus we eventually saw The Bus and for the second time that day I was so very very happy to see DC1. At the time this was well scary but now just really funny (Carmen is still not happy I made her run without shoes through the dirty streets ). So luckily we did not have to sleep in town that night and made it back to Camp Panther!!

Day 5: The wake up call on that day was not the Good Moorning I had got used to, only a Good Morning in a Canadian accent (so I'm guessing it was not Teebee but Brock) Anyway, I was NOT feeling well that morning (no actually it was like the night - we got up at 4 I think) and by the time we had driven to a temple in the mountains I was feeling very sick. It was the only part of the trip I did not enjoy very much (it was still fun though). The day got better after this travel sickness tablet though, and after breakfast (well second breakfast) I was feeling ok, and like 5 of us went rappelling and rock climbing which was fun but scary at first. After lunch we said goodbye to Camp Panther and went rafting again on some serious rapids (great fun - it was cold though especially body surfing). We dove on The Bus to Camp Tusker on the Indo-Gangetic Plain, where we were greeted with the knowledge nobody had lived in this area before about 100 years ago because malaria was so widespread . We went for a little walk then sat round the campfire and ate food . After some NNNNNAAAAAMMMIIITTTTTS it was to the tents and sleep.

Day 6: No Good Moorning this morning either - I got out the tent as the guide was approaching. Before breakfast we went cycling (Namit was late!!) and heard this wild boar attack something. We cycled through a river (well, stream anyway). Back at Camp Tusker we had breakfast  then a few spare hours to mess around on the hammock (actually no Andra broke it in the morning and almost killed Fadli) then a jeep 'safari' in a 'jeep' with no name (the person responsible for it was too embarrassed to own up) or suspension, among other things. We predicted the vehicle would not survive long, and were almost right (the 1 in front got a flat tyre), and there were like no animals anyway, mostly loads of deer (No wait there was this fly thing on Jawad's leg, we made a documentary about it ). After much pain and cramping from the shaking of the Nameless 'Jeep' we went to feed (except we had no food) this captured baby elephant called Jogi it was really cute!! Back to Camp Tusker, some good times round the campfire and food , we got our cool shirts then finishing packing before a few hours of sleep - our last night in India .

Day 7: No wake up call on this morning either, not by a guide anyway. When I woke up I was slowly sliding out of my tent - a bit confusing at 3 in the morning  (Good Moorning to you too Carmen!!! ). Hahaha Namit was late getting up again and on The Bus (DC1) Teebee said his final NNNNAAAAMMMIIITTT before we drove for many hours back to Delhi (I dunno how many I was sleeping). In Delhi we went to some hotel place and played Holi WOW!! That was so much fun my ear is still like pink!! Then we went for some swimming before lunch (the Fat Manager was soooo annoying) then waited for a few hours before our final ride on The Bus. After hugging DC1 goodbye we checked in at the airport and stuff and ate Subway  after like 2 hours of waiting in the queue. In the boarding lounge Luke had a bit of fun with his VERY dodgy massage thing  and these old people were looking at us it was hilarious I was laughing for like 5 minutes!! Then on to the first plane which had telephones which was well cool - Function 1 23C Send NNNNNAAAAMMMMIIIITTTT hahahahaha. Also waking people up and saying Good Moorning . After the change in Abu Dhabi, a LOUD snorer and the final 1, 2, 3 NNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMIIIIITTTTTTTT (who still had a green face – like a frog) we touched down in Doha and so ended the International Award Expedition/Holiday thing and our fantastic trip to India.

So as you can see, we had fun . . . it feels weird being inside now but it is good to be back  . . .
